Various prints made between 2013 and 2016
Etchings 2015-2016
A series of prints, based on immediate surroundings, art history, art theory and personal ambitions.
Throughout the series I made reference to the subject of seeing, writing in pictures, to artists of the past and the use of gestural drawing.
These prints marked a renewed interest in representational elements and paved the way to my Diploma Thesis.
Etchings 2014-2015
Following years of figurative interest and work from observation, I came to the conclusion that if the subject matter is of no importance to me then it should't trouble the viewer also.
The prints that I created during this period are characterized by abstract compositions and a strive for balance. This framework enabled me to work bigger, with multiple plates and introduced the use of color.

Etchings and a woodcut 2013-2014
The first series of prints were based on the theme of still life which up to this day is of great interest to me.
The compositional features of a still life are, as I see it, the most interesting in terms of variety and artistic qualities in regard to all other traditional subject categories.
A successful arrangement of objects is in my opinion deeply moving.
All work that has followed, and also that against these ideas, is directly or indirectly in connection to this certain affection of mine.
